Celebrate Mother’s Day At The Ballet!

Elim Park and The Connecticut Ballet present New Ballet Fest 2010 on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9. The 3:00 pm performance will feature four commissioned works by some of today’s most exciting young choreographers, including Mitzi Adams, Brian Carey Chung, and Ted Thomas, danced by Connecticut Ballet’s professional dancers. Bring mom to the ballet at 150 Cook Hill Road in Cheshire to enjoy an afternoon of inspired dance under the artistic direction of Brett Raphael.

New Ballet Fest 2010 is part of Elim Park’s 2009-2010 Premiere Entertainment Series in Nelson Hall, sponsored by FIP Construction of Cheshire. Tickets to the ballet are $10 each or $15 per couple, and local dance students are invited for only $5. There will be an opportunity to speak with Mr. Raphael and the dancers immediately following the performance.

The Connecticut Ballet is a nationally recognized, professional ballet company currently entering its 28th season. The Connecticut Ballet is headquartered in Stamford and Hartford and performs statewide, including annual seasons at The Bushnell in Hartford and Stamford Center for the Arts.
