Chiang Art Exhibit At Elim Park Place

CHESHIRE, Connecticut (July 23, 2009) - The artwork of Chien Fei Chiang will be on display at Elim Park Place in the Village Green lobby from August 1 until September 28, 2009. Chiang is a third generation artist from Kiangsi, China, with a unique perspective in watercolor painting that meshes the styles of Eastern and Western art forms. In his words, “In this world full of vastly different lives and its rich, cultural diversity, we are able to see mirror images in painting.”

Chien Fei Chiang began his art career at age twelve in China. He studied at the Che-Tse Fine Arts Institute in Kiangsu and the Canton Fine Arts Institute, earning a B.A. degree at the Taiwan Normal University in Taiwan, China. Chiang’s career has involved most forms of fine art, ranging from retouch artist in photography to the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Connecticut, where he currently teaches.

With delicate brush strokes, Chiang’s watercolor marriage of East and West eludes to the peaceful world he speaks of, one that “suffers no barriers.” His work has been exhibited throughout Taiwan and along the East Coast of the United States. Chiang is a recognized member of Who’s Who In American Art, and is a member of several art associations throughout Connecticut, including Guilford, Meriden, New Haven and Essex.
