Prior to joining the staff team at Elim Park, Heather spent nine years as the Vice President of Operations at the Middlesex YMCA in Middletown, CT, which included the role of Healthy Lifestyles Director. Prior to that, Heather served with the McBurney YMCA in New York City for seven years as the Senior Director of Fitness & Membership. Heather holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Syracuse University and certifications as a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer and she is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Prior to joining the staff at Elim Park, Pam spent 15 years working for the Broome County YMCA in upstate New York. As Wellness Coordinator, she oversaw the provision of 114 weekly land and water classes, all while continuing her roles as personal trainer and group exercise instructor. She has taught classes in a multitude of genres and intensities, always providing modifications so all participants can be safe and successful. She holds numerous certifications in group exercise and is a licensed Zumba Instructor on both land and in water.
As a certified personal trainer, Pam has helped clients reverse health problems, reduce medications, achieve and maintain weight loss, and recover from injuries, illness, and surgeries. She credits her Master’s in Social Work as being the added boost to her fitness knowledge that allowed her to become a proven motivator of healthy lifestyles.
