Tyler McCauley is the Fitness and Wellness Director at Elim Park.  For the past 24 years, he has been involved in the Fitness and Wellness industry wearing a variety of hats.  He has been a Personal Trainer; Fitness Director; Personal Training Director; YMCA executive; and most notably a Health Club Owner of New Haven Fitness, a well-recognized health club located on the New Haven Green in New Haven for 10 years.   His education includes a BS from Springfield College, an MBA from the University of New Haven, and personal training certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), National Sports Performance Association (CSAC), and a second level Resistance Training Specialist (R.T.S. II).

Over these past 24 years, as a personal trainer, Tyler has had the privilege to work with a wide variety of clientele of all walks of life including Olympic athletes, executives, celebrities, medical doctors (many of the top orthopedic surgeons and cardiologists in New Haven County), youth athletes, seniors, and the physically handicapped.

Prior to joining the staff at Elim Park, Pam spent 15 years working for the Broome County YMCA in upstate New York.  As Wellness Coordinator, she oversaw the provision of 114 weekly land and water classes, all while continuing her roles as personal trainer and group exercise instructor.  She has taught classes in a multitude of genres and intensities, always providing modifications so all participants can be safe and successful.  She holds numerous certifications in group exercise and is a licensed Zumba Instructor on both land and in water.

As a certified personal trainer, Pam has helped clients reverse health problems, reduce medications, achieve and maintain weight loss, and recover from injuries, illness, and surgeries.  She credits her Master’s in Social Work as being the added boost to her fitness knowledge that allowed her to become a proven motivator of healthy lifestyles.
